1923
In the distant year of 1923, Mehmed's uncle, Muharem, opened the first bakery, marking the beginning of the bakery business in our family. This courageous step laid the foundation for what would become a long-standing tradition and passion for baking, passed down from generation to generation. Muharem's passion for the art of baking inspired Mehmed, creating the groundwork for our family bakery that would become beloved in the community. Since then, every delicious bread and every juicy pastry carried the scent of dedication, creating a legacy that enriched the lives of many.
1945
Muharem's nephew, had been living with Muharem and his wife Sabaheta since he was three years old, as they didn't have children of their own. Growing up in Muharem's bakery and shadowing him in his work, Mehmed fell in love with the smell of freshly baked bread, pastries, and somun. He loved it so much that he decided to become a baker himself, even though he had been educated as a mechanical technician. For years, he honed his craft and worked in the bakery side by side with his uncle Muharem, who eventually passed on his passion for baking to him as his legacy.
Mehmed is the head of the family, providing a secure and kind atmosphere for all family members with his wise leadership and tireless efforts. His dedication to the family is boundless, and his bravery and determination serve as an example to everyone. His love and attention to every family member form the foundation of family unity, making him the central figure around whom everyone gathers, feeling safe and secure.

Muharem left Mehmed much more in his legacy than just a love for the bread and somun, something he never knew. Fate had it that in 1967, right in the neighbourhood of the bakery, a young saleswoman named Aziza found work. Mehmed was immediately captivated by her, and they have been living happily together ever since. Mehmed's wife and our guiding light, Aziza represents the heart and soul of our family and hotel.
Her immeasurable contribution is something words cannot express. Her gentleness, courage, and dedication make us better people. Her love for everyone around her, her ability to inspire and support, make her not only a central figure in our family but also the foundation of our hotel.
Without Aziza, none of this would have been possible. Her presence brings warmth and kindness into every room of our hotel, making it a true home for all who come.
1953
In the heart of a bustling town, nestled amidst the charming cobblestone streets and cosy houses, stood Muharem's Bakery, a quaint little establishment that had become a cornerstone of the community.
It was the year 1953 when Muharem, a skilled baker with a passion for creating delectable pastries and bread, opened the new bakery in the location where it still stands. The previous one had to be moved due to the hospital's need for expansion.
Mehmed started learning his craft at this bakery at the age of 8, where he spent his whole life working and taking care of his family alongside his beloved wife, Aziza. The bakery is now run by their daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, as well as the hotel.
1970
On the 26th of December 1970, amidst the winter's chill and the festive spirit of the season, Mehmed and Aziza got married, promising a lifetime of love and togetherness. Their wedding, a celebration of their enduring love, marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together.
Several decades later, on the very same date in 2016, Mehmed and Aziza, now a testament to a lifelong commitment, embarked on a new adventure. Together with their family, they opened the doors to our hotel, an extension of the warmth and hospitality that had made their bakery a beloved institution in the town.
In the warmth of their hotel's heart, Mehmed and Aziza's legacy continued to flourish, creating unforgettable memories for countless guests who walked through their doors. The 26th of December remained a cherished date, symbolizing the enduring love that had blossomed in the cozy corners of a bakery and had now extended its embrace to travellers from around the world, making their stay truly unforgettable.
